Ink.
This was my first tattoo. It is in the tramp stamp area, yes. I was 17 when I got it. It is for my step mother…who was more of a mother than my birth mother ever was..or will be. She died of stomach cancer in 2006 at age 39.

This is covering up my second tattoo..both were for my ex. I chose to get a rosary becasue of something that always was important to her. She has a lot of catholic guilt..family means the world to her..In the most beautiful way.

The next two are together. One on each side of my ribcage. The text reads “No love lost.” and “No love found.” One statement/lyric that has stuck with me and proven true in so many stages of my life…If you don’t lose love, you can’t gain it…it can never get better.

The next one is “Gently” it is my drag last name. I am very proud of performing and all the people I have met doing drag. It is the single most supportive community I have ever been involved in…they truly are family to me.

The next one is my “Drunk tattoo” and I’m thankful it didn’t end up any more insignificant. I’ve always wanted a love tattoo and well, this is what I got.

The next two, although all of my tattoos have stories and mean a lot to me, are the two most beautiful tattoos I have. The first is, “It hurts to become.” It is a line from; “I sing the body electric, even when my powers out.” by Andrea Gibson and I feel it sums up my and others, transitions quite beautifully. It does hurt to become…but at least you know you’re growing. (Please excuse the unflattering angle and the bright pink sports bra…couldn’t wear a binder right after..rubbed too bad)

The next is a tattoo that in my opinion brings the two side of my birth family together. My grandfather on my mom’s side hunts dear and my great grandmother on my dad’s side loved hummingbirds and this is the harmony I carry inside me between the two.

So far that is all I have. I have a few tattoos in the works and am always excited for more ink! Feel free to share yours with me!
